Social deviance is a sociological concept which labels a person as deviant if the person behaves in a way that society does not conform to. So, an act can be considered deviant for a community and not abnormal for another culture. People tend to stay in power, and to do so, they try to suppress the less powerful and start labeling them as deviant. People who can impose their beliefs and gain control try to prove the minorities as deviant.
